So we have been hearing from people that the speech Senator Elizabeth Warren gave on February 24 in Washington, D.C., during the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) event was very well-received by the those who were at the event. The following Facebook video from Julio Pabón posted today included Warren’s comments about Puerto Rico’s debt crisis (around 5 min in):
Sen. Warren's presentation was on point & her statements on Puerto Rico's economic problems were super. The Senator is a true leader. She continues to impress me in so many ways. Here I share her statements. I'm glad that there was a break between us receiving our awards. (LOL).

On another note, Buzzfeed’s Darren Sands had tweeted last week that Warren was also promoting statehood for Puerto Rico during her speech.
Honored at #LULAC16, @SenWarren calls for statehood for Puerto Rico–says pressure is needed on Congress and the White House to act.

Yet Warren’s statements in the video didn’t talk about statehood, and several people who were at the LULAC event said that Warren did not address the issue:
@darroyo04 @darrensands @SenWarren I just spoke with @PuertoRicoSerio who was there and she told me that warren didn't say this

However, LULAC is a proponent of statehood for Puerto Rico.
