After a day where pretty much everyone in the Latino online space went 100% crazy against the move by Disney to file trademarks on the words “Día de los Muertos,” a company spokesperson confirmed that all the filings will be dropped.

As we have previously announced, Disney-Pixar is developing an animated feature inspired by the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos. Disney’s trademark filing was intended to protect any potential title for our film and related activities.
