WASHINGTON, D.C. — Futuro Media Group, the Harlem-based publisher of Latino Rebels, received a White House press pass Thursday afternoon for Washington correspondent Pablo Manríquez (me).
The pass gives Futuro press access to the White House briefings in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room. In April, Futuro was unanimously approved by the Standing Committee of Correspondents for a daily press pass to cover the Capitol, Supreme Court, and State Department.
The White House press pass gives Futuro what’s known in the Beltway as “double credential” to cover the federal government with full Washington press access.

“With great access comes great responsibility,” said Latino Rebels senior editor Hector Luis Alamo. “I know a bunch of people in my circle are looking at Latino Rebels in a whole new light this morning.”
Two Latinas were also credentialed by the White House Press Office on Thursday. Lila Abed of NTN24 and Carolina Chimoy of DW’s Spanish broadcasting wing also received “hard passes” granting holders standing press access to the White House.
