The following official ad from the campaign of Democratic candidate for the Senate Alison Lundergan Grimes is quite simply as neo-nativist as the they come. When it comes to immigration, Grimes is running to the right of (wait for it) her Republican opponent, Mitch McConnell. Watch (h/t Buzzfeed).
“I approve this message because I’ve never supported amnesty or benefits for illegal immigrants and I never will,” Grimes said at the end.
But hey, you know, we Latinos are being told by the establishment that we are supposed to vote for Democrats because they are all for comprehensive immigration reform. Here’s a memo: Grimes is as bad on immigration as anyone named Sessions, Cruz or King. And not for nothing, but the vote Grimes calls out McConnell one is from 1986. 1986.
Our response to Grimes is a simple one.
