In case you missed this exchange on CNN Tuesday night between Dreamer Elizabeth Vilchis and Rick Santorum, you need to see it. Seriously, you need to see it.
This is what Santorum told Vilchis during the exchange, “My final point is that you have the ability to go to ay other country right now and apply those wares, and be successful and reapply to come back to America. Go and make the world a better place.”
After Ana Navarro chimed in, Vilchis laid some truth on Santorum: “And Mexicans, no matter how talented you are, no matter how much you’ve contributed, there’s no way to get back, and that’s the reason a lot people risk their lives to come here.”
Santorum said that it was “tragic to hear that.”
Meanwhile, President-elect Donald Trump told TIME magazine this week about DACA recipients: “We’re going to work something out that’s going to make people happy and proud. They got brought here at a very young age, they’ve worked here, they’ve gone to school here. Some were good students. Some have wonderful jobs. And they’re in never-never land because they don’t know what’s going to happen.”
