It looks like the Enrique Peña Nieto administration is trying really hard to appease President Trump during the final weeks of the Mexican president’s term. On Friday, the migrant caravan from Honduras reached the Guatemala-Mexico border. Before they could pass, Mexican law enforcement attacked them. There is no other way to describe it, and as much as Trump supporters will applaud this action without ever understanding the root causes as to why people are fleeing Honduras, what follows here from social media is human suffering. No other way to spin it, no matter how much money and praise EPN is getting from the United States.
What an incredible movement these immigrants have made . To stand united at the border demanding to be let through TOGETHER. My heart breaks seeing the faces of these children . Bless their souls , I hope they all make it . #CaravanaMigrante pic.twitter.com/rYl3rFKs0Q

Don't be fooled by the Peña Nieto government's promise to handle the situation with respect for migrants' safety and dignity — the #CaravanaMigrante was welcomed by padlocked gates, riot police, and smoke bombs, creating a terrifying crush. They're persevering.
