As the federal government partial shutdown continues, Latino Rebels Radio travels to DC and chat with Cristina Jiménez of United We Dream about the current immigration debate and how immigrant rights groups like hers are gearing up for what will appear to be yet another tumultuous political year, both in our nation’s capital and on the 2020 election trail.
It is not fair to my Mexican friends that have been waiting LEGALLY to immigrate to the U.S. for 12 years now. They live in Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico and they say NO to DACA and deport the parents who whomever brought them to the U.S. ILLEGALLY. They are not undocumented they are ILLEGALLY PRESENT in the U.S. I do not care about splitting up families and kids. Their parents are to blame not America! Their parents are FELONS since they violate U.S. immigration law. My family came here LEGALLY on a boat and arrived in New York City near Liberty Island to “check-in” to immigration authorities. So, no bleeding hearts here.
