Los Rivera Destino Dedicate Performance of ‘Te Boté’ to Ricardo Rosselló

The Puerto Rican group Los Rivera Destino recently stopped by Futuro Media’s Latino USA‘s office for a short live performance. The group, known for their bolero covers on reggaetón hits like “Dura” and their original satirical songs, took the moment to send a message to Ricardo Rosselló, Julia Keleher, and other politicians accused of corruption in Puerto Rico. “This song that we’re going to interpret is dedicated to all the toxic people in your life,” one of the band’s vocalists said, “and to corrupted politicians.” The band then went on to perform a rendition of “Te Boté,” one of their most popular remixes.

The group joins the growing list of musicians and artists who have asked for the ousting of Rosselló. On Tuesday, they took to Twitter to call on people to attend Wednesday’s historic protest where an estimate of over 100,000 people showed up, using the hashtag #RickyTeBoté.
