On Tuesday morning, Latino Rebels contacted George Laws García, the Interim Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration (which represents the government of Puerto Rico in Washington, D.C.), to confirm that he had submitted his resignation to governor Ricardo Rosselló. Laws García did confirm his resignation and sent Latino Rebels a copy of his resignation letter. This is the letter, dated July 20:
Latino Rebels contacted La Fortaleza for comment, and as of this posting, it has not gotten a reply. Laws García’s resignation will be effective August 15.
Why is it that poor people trying to fight for what is rightfully theirs, after generations of corruption in the government, are referred to as REBELS!! ??
Politicians have used and abused my people forever ! Past older generations had to pass away for THIS generation to make a move!! Kudos to them!!!
