On Tuesday morning, the Julián Castro campaign announced that a new ad featuring the Democratic presidential candidate and condemning President Donald Trump will run during Wednesday programming on Fox News in the Bedminster, New Jersey, television market, where the president is currently vacationing.
The ad premiered on Twitter:

Here is what Castro said in the ad, which was filmed inside an empty Iowa warehouse: “President Trump: You referred to countries as shitholes. You urged American Congresswomen to ‘go back to where they came from.’ You called immigrants rapists. As we saw in El Paso, Americans were killed because you stoked the fire of racists. Innocent people were shot down because they look different from you. Because they look like me. They look like my family. Words have consequences. ¡Ya basta! I’m Julián Castro, and I approve this message.”
“Because they look like me,” is will now forever be already etched in our consciousness.
