In you case you missed it on NPR Weekend Edition, there was a brief report about Oscar López Rivera and the call to have President Barack Obama pardon him. Part of the report, produced by Latino USA, interviewed López Rivera from a federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana.
“I had made a decision…dealing with finding meaning and purposing life, and not living a life just to exist, you know,” López Rivera told NPR about his imprisonment. “And the struggle for me is where I found meaning in life, and I knew that that would keep me strong, and it has.”
