Monday night stories and tweets from POLITICO, the Washington Post and local Chicago media have all be reporting tonight that Democrat Rep. Luis Guitérrez plans to not seek reelection in 2018.

Elected in 1993, Gutiérrez is considered one of the top Latino congressmen in the country, having been a vocal critic of both President Trump and President Obama. He is also been one of the top voices on Puerto Rican issues (he is of Puerto Rican descent), as well as on immigration.
