I worry that celebrities with their multiple homes and at times lowbrow culture eg Raggaeton singers—this music with its historically homophobic and sexist content are the voices of this movement. they are using this as a publicity moment. Where were they the last five or ten years when puerto rico was still experiencing poverty, low ranking schools (Pisa) and violence?
Im glad Trumps apathetic behavior towards Puerto Rico and the way he deemed PR as a parasite people is a wake-up call for independence.
